Welcome to the Lollard Society
The Lollard Society promotes the study of John Wyclif, the Lollard movement, Jan Hus, the Hussites, and the religious, intellectual and cultural history of the later Middle Ages. It brings together scholars, teachers, students and others interested in Wycliffite and Hussite reform, their historical contexts and their wider influence.
The Society supports research and scholarship through its bibliographies and other online resources, academic conferences and sessions at major international medieval studies conferences. It also provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and the encouragement of new research and publications.
Explore Our Research Resources
The Lollard Society provides a range of resources for the study of Lollardy as well as devotional culture in late-medieval England. We also have resources relating to the Hussites of Bohemia (part of the modern day Czech Republic). On this website you will find bibliographies of primary and secondary resources, a selection of article collections and a short bibliography of children’s literature. Among our primary sources, you can access the Latin works of John Wyclif, some of the texts written by Jan Hus and the Glossa Ordinaria, the standard biblical gloss of the Middle Ages.

CFP: Leeds 2012
